If ninja's had lived in England during the Restoration, Amber St. Claire would have been one of them. She is sneaky and smart and (almost) always gets her man. Sure she wants to do things to him no ninja would admit to instead of assassinate them with a swift knife in the dark, but still. With proper training, she could have learned how to put her skills to good use.
But she also did a lot of stupid stuff, and there were no ninjas at all. Historically accurate or not, it would have improved the story.
