            April 5, 2005

I am the worst webmistress ever! And I can't promise things are going to get any better. April is going to be super busy. I'm going to try and keep the site updated, but I can't make any promises. I hope any readers I have will stick with me. Meanwhile, during our downtimes, why don't you check out the review archives or read a book and contact me to volunteer as a guest reviewer.

            Have a great week(ish) all!

            -Carrie

And we're back. Sorry about missing last week, folks. After posting last week that I was running out of chances for a snow day, one arrived in sparkling white glory early this morning. It hasn't stopped snowing for more than 20 minutes today, so I have not given up hope for a double whammy. Hope, however faint, is still better than preparing for the humdrum normalcy of the next day. I will continue to do my snow dance, then. The winter storm watch is in place until 5 p.m. tomorrow, so I'm going to keep enjoying it to the last minute.

            Take care of yourselves, everyone!

I have a theory that if I post a little later every week eventually I'll be back on track. So from now on when I'm late updating we'll pretend I'm doing it on purpose. Right? Okay. This week's reviewed book has received a lot of praise and a lot of press. I hope you will all still take a look at what I have to say!

I gave up on my attempts to read Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell. It was hopelessly overwritten and way more work than it was worth. I surrender! I confess myself defeated.

Have a terric week everyone! Spring is lurking! I'm running out of chances for a snow day. Woe.

            -Carrie

The ninja bunny is reading: Serving Crazy with Curry by Amulya Malladi

The ninja bunny is watching: Someday's Dreamers.

I'm running a little bit behind with the update this week, but I hope you all enjoy the new review. Please check out the archive of reviews, also. It's been revamped a wee bit, and I'd love to get feedback and suggestions if you've got them. Just click on the contact line below. Meanwhile, behind the scenes work will continue. If you notice any broken links or anything, again, let me know, and e patient.

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great week!

            Guest Reviewers Strike Again!
            February 13, 2005

The fabulous Dr. Matt has treated us to a review Dune this week. It's a sci-fi classic, but one that I have never picked up. It's nice to see some diversity coming to the reviews page. I'm afraid I'm not into the hard core sci-fi so it's a good thing someone's bringing it to you.

The news archives are gone. There was a great deal of problems this week and the easiest way to deal with some of these problems was to remove the news archives. We'll be starting just from this week.

Well, that's it for this week. Hope you all have a fantastic Valentine's and a great week

            -Carrie
